In May of this year, the U.K. police became the first authority to implement technology that allows a person with dementia to be found if they wander off. It is known that about 40% of people with dementia wander off at some point and 5% of them are repeatedly getting lost. The dilemma here is obvious-if this is an invasion of privacy or an innovative method to track dementia patients? My thinking is that it is the choice of the caregivers and family.
